In 2012 we founded Spendwise to free businesses of administrative burdens so that they can focus on what they do best.
I started my career at the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where my clients ranged from small startups to large Fortune 100 companies. After PwC I became the Controller at a medical device startup company (FoxHollow) where I built and led the accounting team, and helped take the company public as we grew from $0 to 200 million in sales and from 50 to 550 in headcount. Since FoxHollow I have served as CFO for multiple startup companies ranging from 1 to 50 employees.
During my 15+ years of professional work experience I have evaluated, implemented, and used a myriad of systems to help companies boost sales and control costs. Over this time I became frustrated with how difficult and time consuming it can be to complete common tasks like managing purchase orders, keeping track of inventory, and handling other accounting needs, so I decided to do something about it.
We started by first developing an online system for managing purchase orders which we released in September 2012. Since then we have added to what we offer and now over a thousand businesses from all industries across the United States use our online software to manage their purchase orders, keep track of their inventory, and/or handle all of their accounting needs.
Our plan is to offer a full suite of online software and other back office solutions to businesses across the World. We are proud of what we have accomplished so far, grateful for the opportunity we have to serve our customers, and are excited about the future!
